Twistage is looking for you -- that is, if you can create dynamic Flash applications with your eyes closed. You want to lend your skills to a small Internet start-up company where your ideas are respected. We will rely on you to take ownership of our large ActionScript code base and run with it. You are adept at debugging techniques and don't back down from a challenge. You take pride in designing software that looks good on both the outside and on the inside. You are excited about contributing to Twistage not only with your Flash skills but in peripherally related areas such as web development. If you think that getting paid to write code is so good it's almost unfair, please contact us.

About You:
Twistage is looking for you -- that is, if you believe that software quality is built in at the beginning, not tacked on at the end. You have worked as a quality engineer for at least two different companies which are still in business today. You think that identifying edge conditions that need to be tested is actually fun. You write test plans because they result in a better product, not because your boss asked you to. You are of the opinion that both development and QA jointly deserve the credit when a high quality software application is delivered. You think that delivering software in large, monolithic bundles is so yesterday. When you're asked to perform the same task repeatedly, your reaction isn't to be annoyed but to automate the task. You enjoy writing code in small doses, but you'd much rather break (you love the concept behind the expression, "Now Hulk smash!") other people's code instead. So if you're ready to send code back to the developer who wrote it with a list of bugs, drop us a line.

Desired Qualifications:

Thorough, comprehensive personality with meticulous attention to detail.

Experience with various web app-centric testing frameworks.

Experience building and executing testing plans.

Comfort working in a rapid and iterative development environment.

Basic coding skills (scripting).

Twistage is looking for you -- that is, if you've fallen head over heels for Ruby on Rails and aren't afraid to admit it. You think DRY is hot.

You enjoy writing new code but you'd much rather use or extend existing open source code whenever possible. You fall asleep at night thinking about coding challenges and occasionally find inspiration in the shower.

You have been a major contributor to at least one Rails application that is currently live. You recognize a situation when a database index is needed but also when an index needs to be removed. Your idea of a good time is to make a piece of code do more by eliminating a few lines. You are excited to take a leadership role in a growing team and you like it when people give you suggestions for how to make your code stronger. If you think that getting paid to write code is so good it's almost unfair, please contact us.

Comfort with iterative development and test-driven development
